How do I determine what Age Division I am in?
In order to simplify the age definition information, the chart below has been provided. This will tell you which division the player is eligible for. USA Volleyball determines the age of an athlete based on the players’ age on August 31 of the following year.
For example:
- Club season starts in November and you are 13 years old in November.
- If your birthday is on August 27th and you turn 14 you would be in the 14U age group.
- If you turned 13 on September 2nd and would not be 14 until the following September, then you would be able to play 13U.
