What are your coaching qualities?
I am a strict yet relationship type coach- My athletes will work hard and play hard. I look for players that believe in the system and strive to build trust and respect so I can get the most out of them. My practices are focused on the fundamentals. “If we are fundamentally sound, we can compete with anyone” My goal is to equip my athletes with the tools to be successful on and off the volleyball court. Coaching a sport is just a minor piece of the puzzle, making these kids great human beings is 100% of the process.
What are your expectations from your athletes?
As all National Level Coaches- I set the standard high for my athletes. I need my athletes to come ready to give whatever they have every time they are on the court. Humble… yet arrogant. One must believe in themselves in order to be great!
What is your coaching motto?
Let’s have fun! At the end of the day, we are playing a game and competing. You are going to win some, and you are going to lose some, if you leave it all out there you will always win!
Why did you choose STVA?
STVA is my life, my family and what I love to do. My fathe passed away in 2018 and I decided screw corporate money, I am going to do what I love and my success will be valued by happiness!
What’s a fun fact about you?
I am really a nice person and can have fun once you get to know me. I am just really shy until you get to know me.
