NEW COACH ANNOUNCEMENT: ALAN
COACH ALAN ARREDONDO
[SPECIAL COACH SHOUT OUT] Parents and players, please join me and the entire club in giving a big HIGH FIVE to COACH ALAN for being a part of the #STVA family.
Coach Alan has an impressive track record in coaching. With over 20 qualifiers under his belt, he has consistently placed in the top 10. As a Head Coach, he has led his team to qualify for nationals six times and as an Assistant Coach, twice. He also achieved the distinction of being the first second team to qualify for nationals in SA.
His skills are not limited to qualifying alone - he has won Dallas 14 USA and placed in the top 5 at nationals twice. His expertise has even earned him a National Championship win as an Assistant Coach. With such achievements, it is clear that Coach Alan is confident in his abilities and can lead any team to success.
Coach Alan states, "I am fueled by a deep passion for the sport and driven to see my athletes reach their highest potential. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than witnessing the growth and progress of my athletes year over year as they strive towards their goals."
We are excited to have Coach Alan as Head Coach of #14Mizuno the upcoming 2023-24 #CompetitiveVolleyball season at STVA. We appreciate having him on board and the vast experience he brings to South Texas Volleyball Academy.

What are your coaching qualities?
The passion and love I have for the sport is what i wish to bestow upon any athlete I encounter. I love the growth and progress that you see over the course of a year and over the course of the athlete's volleyball journey. I train my athletes hard with the understanding that i want more for them and to reach their highest potential. It’s always a pleasure to see kids I’ve coached successful whether in their volleyball careers or in life.
What is your coaching motto?
You can’t change what happened in the past, but you can control how it affects the future. Don’t ever let your yesterday determine your tomorrow. Learn from who you were. Believe in who you are. Create who it is you want to become right now. What matters now is all that matters!
