COACH DAVE
[SPECIAL COACH SHOUT OUT] Parents and players, please join me and the entire club in giving a big HIGH FIVE to COACH DAVE for being a part of the #STVA family.
Coach Dave has an impressive resume that showcases his experience and success in college coaching. With 12 years of experience under his belt, he has honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the game. Not only has he coached at the college level, but he has also worked with numerous club teams over the course of seven seasons.
His dedication to the sport is evident, and it comes as no surprise that he has been recognized for his achievements. In 2017, Coach Dave was honored as an AVCA Thirty Under 30 recipient, highlighting his exceptional talent and potential in the coaching world. Furthermore, he has nurtured and guided nine AVCA All-Americans, solidifying his ability to develop players and help them reach their fullest potential. Coach Dave's track record speaks for itself, and anyone who works with him can be confident in his expertise and ability to lead a team to success.
We are excited to have Coach Dave as Head Coach of #16Navy the upcoming 2023-24 #CompetitiveVolleyball season at STVA. We appreciate having him on board and the vast experience he brings to South Texas Volleyball Academy.

Let's get to know Coach Dave!
What are your coaching qualities?
My goal is that any athlete who plays for me will grow in their abilities and understanding of the game so that they have a solid volleyball foundation to build on long after they are done playing for me. I'm also very transparent with athletes about where they are in their development and what needs to improve.
What are your expectations from your athletes?
As a coach my only expectations are that each day everyone brings their best in the areas that are controllable: effort, attitude, and communication.
What is your coaching motto?

I can pogo stick and jump rope at the same time.
