COACH MADISON

Coach Madison Announcements 2023 (FB Post)

[SPECIAL COACH SHOUT OUT] Parents and players, please join me and the entire club in giving a big HIGH FIVE to COACH MADISON for being a part of the #STVA family.

Having previously served as Geneva School of Boerne JV coach, she has recently been appointed as the head varsity coach heading into the 2023 fall season. Her passion for the sport has brought her to STVA, where she has been a valuable member of the coaching team since 2019. Her hard work and dedication have resulted in numerous awards:

  • 2021/22: 3 Top 3 finishes at national Qualifiers 13U, 5th place at Nationals American Division 13U
  • 2022/23: 1st Place Sunshine Classic National Qualifier 14U Liberty Division, competed Open in two national qualifiers
  • 2019: Varsity Assistant State Championship Tournament TAPPS 4A Geneva School of Boerne
  • 2023/24: Geneva School of Boerne Program Director/Head Coach

As a coach, her ultimate goal is to equip her athletes with the necessary tools to succeed both on and off the volleyball court. Coach Madison firmly believes that building better young women is just as important as creating strong athletes.

We are excited to have Coach Madison as Head Coach of #13Mizuno the upcoming 2023-24 #CompetitiveVolleyball season at STVA. We appreciate having her on board and the vast experience she brings to South Texas Volleyball Academy.

Thank you, Eddie Dahl Jr. and STVA family

Let's get to know Coach Madison!

What are your coaching qualities?

I am a relationship type coach- I strive to build relationships with my athletes in order to build trust and respect in order to get the most I can possibly get out of them. I take pride in running extremely efficient and structured practices where athletes get an abundance of reps while learning the why. My goal is to equip my athletes with the tools to be successful on and off the volleyball court. I strive to make them better athletes but more importantly better young women!

What are your expectations from your athletes?

As all National Level Coaches- I set the standard high for my athletes. The expectation is that my athletes create a positive, competitive team culture within themselves and bring it to every practice and game. Athletes are responsible for setting the tone in practices and matches and bringing the same intensity every time. My athletes will give 110% for the teammate standing next to them and will be selfless in their play and attitude.

What is your coaching motto?

Do not look too far ahead but focus on each play and be in the moment! Celebrate hard and shake off mistakes quick

What’s a fun fact about you?

I refused to play volleyball when I was younger- I was convinced I was going to play college basketball. Was forced to play on a club team in 7th grade and haven't looked back since!
